What A Composer Does
Take a peek with me at all the things a composer does

Hi I’m Rania and I’m a composer and a mum! Juggling lullabies and librettos! This is how I’m growing as a composer while also being a mom

We got to get those grants to get the magic started and carried on. So sometimes we have to spend hours pushing keys, writing proposals, answering questions and explaining what we want to do and what our project is about again, and again, in different ways, emphasising on a different aspect in each application and proposal.
It’s a lot. It’s draining most of the time. Especially since you have to count words and characters and even spaces. But without these applications, all fun projects would most definitely just stay dreams. As opposed to spending hours and hours on just one application and so then you have a 10% chance of being granted (ha ha!)
This season I asked for grants to start developing a brand new project (which I am very excited about and let you know more on it in due course) and to further develop “On Being Vocal”. Which will receive a couple more performances later in the year.
Come see us at the Wandsworth Arts Fringe Festival on the 16th of June – and I’ll share more details on venues and where you can get your tickets in a few weeks.
Let’s dive deeper into the grant process… here
